People always tell you to watch your kids because, before you know it, they've grown up in front of you without you even knowing it. Last night was the first big milestone for Nicholas. We'd been talking about putting him in the crib for about a week but it was finally time. Much like his sister he did very well. He woke just once to eat and slept about 9 hours. We were so excited we decided to go out to dinner. OK, you caught me, it's really beacuse it's three months today. We've officially decided to make this tradtion about seafood. Red Lobster in Kingston tonight. Nicholas slept the entire meal so we had time for the three of us to laugh and eat. This is working out well. Now i just need to find three more RL in driving distance.
Yesterday was another milestone. We left Nicholas with Aunt Lisa for 10 hours. I can't tell you how old isabella was before we were away from her for that long, she was much older than that. We spent the day at Cirque de Soleil on Randall's Island. This was my third, Bec's second and Isabella's first! We all had a great time watching amazing acrobatics. We went with the Herrmanns and the Agnews and stopped for dinner on the way back. Nicholas ate when we got home. A great time with good friends ended with everyone passed out. Even Nicholas slept through the night without waking!
We're celebrating the 4 month thing a little bit early. Tonight it was back to RL Poughkeepsie. Nicholas was amazing during dinner. We've worked out a little deal: he can cry the whole time in the car if he's quiet at dinner. Unfortunately , he's his father's little boy - I didn't realize when I agreed that he meant *both* ways in the car!
